Rocketeer is one of eleven Unique-tier classes that costs 5 Godlike Tokens in CRITICAL STRIKE.

Appearance[]

Rocketeer holds a rocket launcher on the right hand, has armor similar to Warrior and on the other hand has a short gauntlet. Along with this, Rocketeer carries a jetpack on its back and wears boots.

When using CRT, Rocketeer holds two quad-missile launchers. It will also holster its main rocket launcher like a jetpack.

Overview[]

Summary: A reliable zoner with good movement and heavy hitting damage if you're capable enough.

Rocketeer is a class based on combination effect damage and long-distance damage. Similar to the Sniper class, Rocketeer struggles when faced with a close-combat situation. However, because it has a unique oil effect which, when lit, will burn an opponent who walks on it for several seconds. Additionally, this oil can spread onto people, causing every one of Rocketeer's rockets that land (including F move rockets) to inflict burn.

Along with being a damaging burn class, the Rocketeer also has one of the more versatile movesets within Critical Strike. It is also unique in that it shares characteristics with both Tank and Marksmen classes, despite being classified as only a Marksman class. These characteristics include, but are not limited to, above-average (90) health, low movement speed, a combination-based moveset, an advantage in most ranged battles, and consistent damage.

  • Slow ATK, requiring decent precision for good damage
  • AB1 and CRT have chargeups, which leave the user vulnerable.

AB2 Oil Slick

Shoot out 5 splats of oil onto the ground, while on the ground for 7s, players enter the oil will cause them to be Oiled for 4s.

The splats of oil can be ignited by using abilities, which will also burn to both Oiled players and players entering the burning splats of oil. Lasts for 10s.

Maximum Burning stack can be applied is 5.

Tips and Tricks[]

  • Rocketeer is a vulnerable class, but it is extremely good at standing its own ground. When possible, do NOT run from an opponent. Instead, take advantage of Rocketeer's AB2 and CRT moves to keep opponents away. AB1 will be useful to light the oil, creating a barrier, while CRT and ATK can deal steady damage and deal knockback.
  • ATK is your MAIN source of damage, so exploit your 15 damage ATK as much as possible.
  • If you MUST run to avoid death, consider using Rocketeer's AB1 after jumping into the void (either the void itself or the water spouts). This will give you lots of extra distance. Don't spam the AB1, however, as you will get very little distance and 0 damage.
  • Comboing AB2 into CRT is a great way to max out the burn cap.
  • If you jump at the right time before using CRT, you can stay closer to the ground than normal. This can help with connecting multiple hits in a row.
  • You can time a jump during your AB1 dash to gain extra distance.
  • Remember, Rocketeer has a low amount of raw DPS. The best way to exploit past this is by using AB2. When you oil people, all of your attacks deal +5 Damage via the burn stack. Use this with CRT, then you get tons and tons of damage! No need to ignite the oil, as one burn stack is much less rewarding than a stage hazard that slows.
  • If you can do it, use AB2 then quickcast (spam the AB1 move). Instantly, you'll get one burn stack, oil, and a good position to get more Burn.
  • This class is tied for the tankiest Marksman in the game, so it might be a good class for those who main ranged Tanks (ex. Ruler, Admiral)
  • No, this is NOT a copy of Ruler, it's honestly a bit better. Ruler's air time is annoying, but Rocketeer has a vertical aim in-flight- Ruler doesn't, Ruler has NO EFFECTS, longer cooldowns, and lower AoE. Also no burn. -YoGotBadDabbed -- Rocketeer came before Ruler. -Shotis Otis
  • [Dirty trick] If you stand directly next to a wall then use CRT you will not fly up instead stay on the ground and still shoot the bullets. This can apply fatal amounts of burn if your opponent is oiled.

Trivia[]

  • Previously, in CS5, Rocketeer was permanently purchased with a gamepass that costed 50 Robux.
  • Rocketeer, Scout, Ruler, Sniper, and Valkyrie are the only classes that can hover with an ability.
  • Rocketeer's weapons during its CRT used to be a much larger 5 barrel rocket launcher and it holds 2, making sense that the Rocketeer shot 10 rockets during its CRT.
    • This is not anymore in the later updates, when the missiles shot are decreased from 10 to 8.
